PRYOR, OK – Two people were hurt Thursday in a rear-end collision involving an 18-wheeler along US-69 in the city of Pryor, reports KTUL News 8.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a chain-reaction crash near the intersection with Southeast 49th Street. This is on the southwest side of the city, near Walmart and the Ford dealership.
Police say that a semi-truck rear-ended a pickup truck at the red light, causing the pickup to rear-end an SUV. The 18-wheeler rolled, spilling frozen turkey across the highway.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the collision. Medics transported the other two drivers to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
Officials say that dense fog and low-visibility were contributing factors in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
