CHICKASHA, OK – A man from Chickasha has been jailed on charges including first-degree manslaughter and DWI after a crash today that killed one person and injured another, reports KOKH.

Bradley Teakell, 22, of Chickasha, has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, driving while under the influence, and reckless driving after an accident today in the 2600 block of West Grand Avenue.

According to authorities, Teakell was driving a pickup truck at a high speed on W Grand Ave when he hit a set of railroad tracks. He lost control of the vehicle, and then ran off the road, hitting a light post. The pickup rolled over multiple times before stopping in an embankment.

The crash ejected Teakell and his two passengers, Chickasha woman Mary Martin, 37, and Ninnekah resident Jordan Jacobs, 30, from the vehicle, and pinned Jacobs beneath it.

Jacobs died at the scene.

Martin was sent to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to make a recovery.
