OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One child was killed and three others hospitalized after a house exploded in Oklahoma City Thursday morning.
According to KOCO, the explosion happened within the 8000 block of Northeast 139th Street near the intersection with East Memorial Road. Officials say a family of four was inside the home at the time of the explosion.
A young girl died from her injuries at the scene. The father was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for potentially life-threatening injuries. The mother and other child sustained burns that are not expected to be life-threatening at this time.
Officials with Oklahoma’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas Administration say the explosion may have been caused by a leaking propane log-lighter that sparked.
