OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — A 7-year-old girl and a 39-year-old man died Saturday night after a single-vehicle wreck that injured two other children in Harrah, according to News9.
The fatal accident happened at the intersection of North Dobbs Road and Reno Avenue.
A preliminary investigation indicates the man, who was traveling with his three daughters, had just driven away from a church when, for reasons still unknown, he veered to the left of the roadway. Officials said the vehicle collided with a tree, prompting the male driver to overcorrect. The vehicle crashed into a retention pond, killing the driver and his 7-year-old daughter.
The vehicle’s other two occupants, 11-year-old twin sisters, survived the crash. Both patients were rushed to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries but have been released as of Sunday night.
An investigation by Oklahoma County’s accident reconstruction team was underway.
