Collision blocks lanes on Turner Turnpike

SAPULPA, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to close down the eastbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike following an injury crash late Friday afternoon.

According to the official Twitter page of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just after 3:45 p.m. along the turnpike a few miles west of Sapulpa.

Officials have reported injuries resulting from the crash. However, the number of people hurt, and the extent of thier injuries has not been made public as of yet.

The eastbound lanes were shut down for some time causing motorists to find an alternate route throughout the early evening hours Friday
