Collision blocks westbound lanes on I-240

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in South Oklahoma City were forced to shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 240 following a crash with reported injuries Thursday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Twitter page, the accident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. in I-240 near Walker Avenue. The closure caused delays throughout Thursday morning’s rush hour but has since been cleared from the roadway.
Details regarding the cause of the crash and severity of the injuries sustained have not yet been released. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide that information as it is made available by Police in South Oklahoma City.
