Collision on US-77 SB at Hefner Rd in OKC blocks traffic

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Crews responded to an accident along the highway in the Broadway Park area of Oklahoma City on Wednesday morning, reports the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
OKC: All lanes of southbound US-77/Broadway Ext. are closed at Hefner Rd. due to a crash.
Drivers should avoid the area and locate and alternate route.

The incident happened sometime before 7:40 a.m. on the southbound side of US-77 at West Hefner Road, which is just west of Broadway Park.
It’s still unclear what caused the accident. Officials closed the southbound lanes of US-77 in the vicinity of the accident while crews investigated and cleared the scene. The highway re-opened by 9:35 a.m.
