Collision west of Oklahoma City results in injury, road closure

GERY, OK – Officials in Geary responded to a highway crash with injuries along Interstate 40 westbound Thursday night.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 7:00 p.m. within the 107 mile marker. Traffic was routed to US Highway 281 causing a major traffic jam due to the weight limit for semi-trucks.

No word on the cause of the crash or the severity of injuries sustained has been released as of yet. We will provide any further details as they are made available.
