CHOCTAW COUNTY, OK –  A 37-year-old construction worker was killed in a tragic construction accident in Choctaw County on Wednesday. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and News 4, the accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. at County Road East 2010 and County Road North 4040, northeast of Boswell.

The victim, Homero Alarcon, of Owasso, was driving a Sheepsfoot Roller northbound on a dirt road that was under construction when his vehicle departed the roadway and rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on top of him. Other workers on the scene used construction equipment to free Alarcon, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Accidents involving construction vehicles are all too commonplace across Oklahoma. When tragedies strike, the families of the victims could be entitled to workers’ compensation death benefits, third-party wrongful death compensation, and other forms of compensation and justice.
