Crash involving semi near US-412 and OK-412B kills 1 in Chouteau

CHOUTEAU, OK – A 32-year-old woman died Friday evening in a 2-vehicle crash involving a semi along the highway in southwest Mayes County, reports Fox 23 News.
The incident happened around 6:24 p.m. on US-412 near the Neosho River in the city of Chouteau.
The investigation indicates that the victim was possibly speeding when she rear-ended an 18-wheeler near the intersection with OK-412B. The driver of the semi had slowed to turn onto OK-412B.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as Stephanie Morrison, died after transport to a local hospital.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
