Crash involving semi-truck on US-62 near OK-72 near Boynton kills 2

BOYNTON, OK – Two people died on Tuesday after their SUV collided with an 18-wheeler at a busy intersection in west Muskogee County, reports Fox 23 News.
The incident happened in the morning at the intersection of US-62 and OK-72, which is in the southern outskirts of Boynton, west of Wainwright and north of Council Hill.
The investigation indicates that an eastbound 2022 Ford Edge ran a stop sign and t-boned a southbound 2021 International Dollar General truck.
Crews extricated the driver and passenger of the SUV approximately three hours after the accident took place. Both occupants died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The truck driver, identified as 57-year-old King Rosborough, went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
