Crash near Okemah kills two

OKEMAH, OK – A car accident on Wednesday evening in Okfuskee County killed two people, reports KTUL.

The crash happened somewhere on I-40 east of Okemah and was reported to the Highway Patrol at 8:45 p.m.

Richard Johnston, 70, and his wife, Connie Johnston, age unknown, were heading east on I-40 when the vehicle strayed off the highway and into a tree. The Johnstons were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
