Crash on I-40 WB near SH-48 in Okfuskee CO. blocks traffic

OKFUSKEE CO., OK – Officials closed all westbound lanes of I-40 late Friday morning in Okfuskee County after a collision, reports the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
I-40 OKFUSKEE CO: All lanes of westbound I-40 are closed at about 2 miles west of SH-48 (mm 217) in Okfuskee County due to a crash. Motorists should expect delays and locate an alternate route, such as SH-48 north to SH-56.

The incident happened near mile marker 217, which is just west of State Highway 48 and near Okemah.
There’s no word yet on injuries, nor have police released any details regarding the circumstances of the accident.
Crews worked to clear the scene by around 12:55 p.m., at which point officials re-opened all westbound lanes of I-40.
