Crash on I-44 at Lake Hefner Pkwy in NW OKC injures 1

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Serious injuries have been reported in connection to a major crash along the interstate in northwest Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News 4.

The accident happened Tuesday afternoon on the northbound ramp from I-44 to Lake Hefner Parkway. This is just west of the Sam’s Club.

Police say that a woman was thrown from her vehicle after a wreck along the ramp. It’s unclear if any other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Medics transported the ejected victim to an area hospital with critical injuries. Authorities have not released her identity to the public.

Officials closed the ramp while emergency teams attended to the victim and crews worked to clear the wreckage.

A full investigation is underway.
