Crews close major portion of I-35 due to big rig collision

PURCELL, OK – Transportation crews closed a major portion of Interstate 35 due to a big rig collision that happened on Thursday.
The crash occurred on the northbound lanes near mile marker 83, according to OKCFOX. Authorities left one lane open to accommodate the flow of traffic.
Details leading to the collision remain scarce. However, what our legal newsroom knows so far is that the force of the crash caused the semi-truck to jackknife.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
