Crews respond to fatality crash along Caddo Hwy in Armstrong

ARMSTRONG, OK – One person sustained fatal injuries early Saturday in a wrong-way collision along the highway in northwestern Bryan County, reports KXII 12.
Just prior to 1 a.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on the Caddo Highway in the city of Armstrong, which is about 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma City. Police haven’t yet provided a mile marker or cross street for the wreck.
Authorities say that an eastbound vehicle entered the westbound side of the highway and crashed head-on into a westbound vehicle.
The wrong-way driver, who was unrestrained at the time of the accident, died at the scene. Officials haven’t yet released the victim’s name to the public.
The westbound driver, identified as 26-year-old Mason McElroy, sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
