Crews respond to injury crash at SE 79th and S Shields in SE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police are investigating an injury collision that happened Thursday at a busy intersection in Southeast Oklahoma City, reports TTN Oklahoma City.

The incident happened sometime before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast 79th Street and South Shields Boulevard, which is just south of I-240 and west of I-35.
At least one person sustained injuries in the accident, though it’s unclear how many people required hospitalization. Additionally, police haven’t yet shared any details about the cause of the wreck or the number of vehicles involved.
Traffic likely slowed in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.
