A driver was severely injured after a head-on collision in Tulsa, a January 8 article of 102.3 KRMG Tulsa News reported.

A person called Oklahoma Highway Troopers regarding an SUV eastbound in the westbound lanes of Interstate 44 around lunch time. When the troopers arrived, the SUV had already crashed into another car. The elderly SUV driver was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the car driver had to be extricated from his vehicle using the jaws of life. He was sent to the hospital to be examined. The crash prompted officials to shut down the interstate for more than two hours.
