Driver Dead Following Train And Truck Collision

A truck driver died after a train collision, a February 3 article of Enid News & Eagle reported.
The crash occurred at 6:26 PM at US 81 and County Road E0840. 52-year-old Timothy Allan Potter stopped his 2018 Peterbilt near the railroad tracks to examine it. Unfortunately, it was struck by a Union Pacific train conducted by 40-year-old James Eldon Hardy. Potter was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Hardy and train passenger 33-year-old Stephen Francis Matt were not injured. The area was closed off as authorities investigated the scene.
