Driver dies after crashing into Sapulpa construction zone on Hwy 91

SAPULPA, OK – Authorities are working to identify a driver who died after crashing into a construction zone in eastern Creek County on Thursday, reports News on 9.
The incident happened in the morning along Highway 91 between West 86 Street and West 81 Street, which is on the north side of Sapulpa.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a driver lost control of their vehicle and struck multiple concrete barriers in a construction zone. The force of the collision caused the vehicle to ignite.
The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
A full investigation is underway.
