Driver dies after head-on crash on OK-39 in Pottawatomie County

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, OK — A 22-year-old woman died Friday morning after a two-vehicle collision on Oklahoma Highway 39 in Konawa, according to KFOR.
First responders were called to the scene at Propane Road at around 5:15 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates the young woman was driving a 2013 Chevy Camaro eastbound on the highway at the same time a 2018 Chevy Silverado was heading westbound. For reasons still being investigated, the Camaro veered past the center line and entered the westbound lanes, where it collided head-on with the Silverado.
The driver of the Camaro died on the scene as a result of her injuries, confirmed the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
No information has been shared regarding the condition of the other driver.
