Driver fleeing police causes fatal crash at SW 25th and Walker

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 22-year-old man died in a Memorial Day weekend collision caused by a driver evading police in central Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
Authorities attempted to stop the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck early Sunday morning in the area of Northwest 23rd Street and Walker Avenue. The driver, who has since been identified as 28-year-old Dontay Allen, fled south on I-235.
Allen’s pickup truck ultimately crashed into a second vehicle at Southwest 25th Street and Walker Avenue, which is south of Wiley Post Park and northeast of Mount St. Mary Catholic High School.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Kevin Gramajo, succumbed to his injuries after transport to an area hospital.
Allen attempted to leave the scene on foot, but police apprehended and arrested him on multiple charges, including DUI and second-degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
