Driver flees after crashing car into telephone pole in Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, OK – A driver fled on foot after crashing their car into a telephone pole off North Adams Road and East 10th Street on Monday.
Sand Springs Police told KJRH that the incident unfolded before 6 a.m. when police spotted a stolen vehicle off the intersection of Highway 64 and Adams Road. Moments later, police initiated a pursuit.
The chase ended when the driver crashed the stolen vehicle into a telephone pole and ran away from the scene of the solo crash.
The telephone fell down, and the impact of the solo crash left Sand Springs Nursing & Rehab Center without power.
Police are actively working to find the suspect.
