A school bus driver recently was injured after the vehicle he was driving experienced a malfunction, an article of ktul.com reported late last month.

According to reports, the Oklahoma City Public Schools want to find out how the rear axle of the school bus got loose, causing a crash in late August. The bus, containing seven high school students, reportedly experienced a malfunction around 7:30 a.m. at the vicinity of NW 63 Street and N. May. All of the John Marshall High School students inside the bus were not hurt, however, the driver was hospitalized after suffering a knee injury. A report initially released by authorities revealed that the “U-Bolt” installed in the rear portion of the bus possibly malfunctioned. Reports also revealed that the school bus was previously repaired by its vendor after an accident early this year. The incident is being investigated by authorities.
