Driver in deadly Oklahoma crash sped up before incident

Federal authorities discovered a female driver involved in a horrific Oklahoma accident increased her speed before ramming into a crowd during a parade, a report of CBS DFW reported on October 13. The incident, which occurred last year, killed four people.

Information coming from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) gave the impression that 26-year-old Adacia Chambers caused the accident because she was suffering from “emotional distress.” Adacia’s coworkers noted that she seemed preoccupied moments before she rammed her vehicle into the crowd watching the homecoming parade at Oklahoma State University on October 24 last year. The NTSB investigation revealed that Adacia was driving with a speed of 54 mph then after five seconds her speed increased by 5 mph. The investigation also showed that the driver stepped on the brake pedal after she struck a police motorcycle used as a barrier.
