Driver killed after rear-ending truck in US-283 near Blair

JACKSON CO., OK – A 73-year-old woman died Monday after a two-vehicle crash involving a truck in northern Jackson County, reports KSWO 7.

The incident happened just before 1 p.m. near the intersection of US-283 and East County Road 153, which is just north of Blair.

Police say that the victim was headed northbound on US-238 when her vehicle rear-ended a truck as it slowed to turn. The type of truck involved is unclear.

Medics transported the unrestrained driver of the vehicle to a local hospital, where she died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities identified her as Mary Drumm of Granite.

The truck driver did not sustained injuries in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
