Driver Killed, Trooper Injured After OKC Rear-End Collision on I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A driver was killed after crashing into an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper on Interstate 40 Monday afternoon, KOCO reports.
According to authorities, the trooper was pulled over on the side of I-40 near Choctaw Road trying to help a disabled vehicle when a pickup truck collided with the rear of his vehicle.
The driver of the pickup and the trooper were transported to a nearby hospital. The pickup driver later died. The trooper was initially in critical condition but is believed to have stabilized.
