Drunk Driver Hospitalized After DUI Collision

A man was airlifted to the hospital after crashing his car while driving drunk, a January 17 article of News 12 reported.
The incident happened around 11:00 AM, on Lynn Lane Road. 44-year-old Christopher Hughett was driving while intoxicated when his car went off the left side road. It then struck a tree, went back on the road, veered off the right side of the road, and hit a ditch. Hughett was thrown 50 feet from the scene due to the impact. Then, he was flown to a hospital in Louisiana to get his head and internal injuries treated. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, he was also not wearing a seat belt.
