DUI driver flees police, causes fatal crash at SW 29th and S Miller

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 46-year-old woman died Saturday from injuries sustained in a rear-end collision in southwest Oklahoma City, reports News on 6.
The accident happened at night in the area of Southwest 29th Street and South Miller Avenue, which is just north of Esperanza Elementary School in the Industrial Heights neighborhood.
Police say that the driver of a gray Chrysler 300 evaded pursuing officers when they attempted to stop him for reckless driving.
The vehicle then rear-ended a silver Ford Explorer, causing the latter vehicle to overturn. The impact of the collision threw the driver of the Ford from her vehicle, causing fatal injuries. Authorities identified her as Patricia Marse.
The driver of the Chrysler was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI.
A full investigation is underway.
