DUI hit-and-run on US-75 near 136th in Glenpool kills 1

GLENPOOL, OK – A man died Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision caused by an alleged drunk driver in southwest Tulsa County, reports News on 6.
The hit-and-run accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the southbound side of US-75, or the Okmulgee Bee Line Expressway, near West 136th Street South in Glenpool.
Police say that one of the two drivers involved in the crash fled the accident.
The other driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
Officials located and arrested the hit-and-run driver, charging him with DUI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Drivers likely encountered delays along US-75 southbound while emergency crews worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
