DUNCAN, OK – An air ambulance responded to the scene of a major accident last Wednesday along the highway in west-central Stephens County, reports KSWO 7.
The incident occurred on the northbound side of US-81 near Glen Boulevard, which is just north of the Stephens County Fairgrounds in southwest Duncan.
While multiple emergency vehicles were called to the scene, there’s no word yet regarding the cause of the collision, the number of vehicles involved, or the number of people hurt in the crash.
Officials closed the northbound side of US-81 in the area of the crash while emergency teams worked at the scene. It’s unclear when the northbound lanes re-opened.
A photo taken by KSWO at the scene indicates that a gray Jeep may have been involved in the accident. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage.
