Enid Woman Killed in Oklahoma City Car Accident

An Enid woman was killed in an Oklahoma car accident Monday.

According to officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department, 69 year-old Naiyar Sultan was involved in a car accident at on Southwest Highway 59 and State Highway 152 shortly after 5:00 p.m. Monday. Master Sgt. Gary Knight said Sultan was driving a car east on SW 59 when she attempted to turn left from a stop sign and crossed the path of a southbound pickup truck on SH 159. The pickup truck collided with Sultan’s vehicle on the drivers’ side.

According to officials with the coroner’s office, Sultan was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Police say she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the wreck. Police say he did not have a stop sign and was not cited for any wrongdoing.
