Escaped bison causes wrecks on Hwy 9

NORMAN, OK – Minor injuries were reported after an escaped bison caused multiple accidents on the 1100 block of SR 9 Saturday, according to News 9.
The 12-year-old bison escaped from Big Sky Ranch, owned by Sherry Taylor.
A driver heading west on SH 9 struck the bison at around 1:15 a.m. Another vehicle swerved to avoid hitting the animal.
The bison then moved to the eastbound lanes, where it was fatally struck by a second vehicle.
Minor injuries were reported in the incident. All the cars involved were totaled.
