Fatality reported in auto-pedestrian crash at 71st and Lewis

TULSA, OK – A woman sustained fatal injuries Wednesday morning in an auto-pedestrian crash in southeast Tulsa, reports News 9.
The accident happened sometime before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of 71st Street and Lewis Avenue near South Lewis Plaza and Kensington Business Complex.
Police say that the female pedestrian was not utilizing a crosswalk when she entered the path of a vehicle in the intersection.
The victim died not long after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.
The driver involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with police.
A full investigation is underway.
