Fatality reported in Caddo Co. wrong-way crash on US-277

CADDO CO., OK – Officials say that a woman injured in a wrong-way crash with a semi last week on US-277 has died, reports Enid News & Eagle.
Mindy Cates, 42, died in the hospital on Tuesday from injuries sustained on March 4th when she lost control of her southbound vehicle, crossed into the northbound lanes, and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler.
The accident happened just south of the town of Cyril in southeastern Caddo County.
Police still haven’t disclosed what might have caused Cates to enter the northbound lanes of the highway.
The truck driver went to the hospital with non-critical injuries and has since been released.
