Fatality reported in school bus crash on US-169 near Oologah

ROGERS CO., OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision involving a school bus that happened in northwest Rogers County on Wednesday.
According to KOCO News 5, the accident occurred in the afternoon at the intersection of US-169 southbound and East 370 Road, which is between Oologah and Talala and about 34 miles northeast of Tulsa.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the crash, the number of vehicles involved, or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.
Officials have confirmed at least one fatality, but they’ve not released the name of the victim, nor have they indicated how many students were on the bus and if any of them were hurt.
Authorities closed the southbound side of the highway for a few hours while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
