FBI, Fort Gibson PD searches for suspect in connection to deadly hit-and-run

FORT GIBSON, OK – The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Fort Gibson police are currently on the hunt for a suspect in connection to a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a 16-year-old girl.
Law enforcement told KJRH that on Nov. 5 the 16-year-old girl and a friend of hers were walking on Highway 80 near West 828 Road when the collision happened on N. The suspect struck the 16-year-old girl and continued driving, without rendering aid or calling 911.
The vehicle of interest is now in custody. Officials said it belongs to a Native American person.
