Fiery rash involving semi, Amazon truck on I-35 NB at MM 103 kills 1

GOLDSBY, OK – One person died Saturday in a crash involving an 18-wheeler and an Amazon truck along the interstate in Goldsby, reports KFOR News 4. 

The accident happened shortly before 9 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near mile marker 103. This in on the southeastern outskirts of the city.

Police say that an Amazon truck caught fire after rear-ending a semi on the interstate.

The investigation thus far indicates that the driver of the Amazon truck was likely speeding when the crash occurred. The driver died from injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.

Officials closed all but one lane of I-35 northbound while emergency teams responded to the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
