OWASSO, OK – A Tulsa firefighter was killed and three others were sent to the hospital after a fiery collision Tuesday, News9 reports.
Preliminary details reveal that a pickup truck driver was traveling at a high rate and did not reduce their speed at a red light at the intersection of 116th Street North and North Garnett Road. It was there that the speedy driver rear-ended a vehicle. That struck vehicle crashed into the back of another vehicle.
Fuel had spilled from one of the vehicles, which is what started the fire.
The crash happened before 9:15 a.m. and warranted a quick response from fire crews and the Owasso police.
Officials have not released the victim’s identity at this time.
