NORTH OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – First responders were dispatched to the scene of an injury collision that took place on the southbound lanes of Broadway Extension on Friday.
KOCO said the injury collision occurred north of 63rd Street. The involved vehicle appears to be a black SUV that was significantly damaged. At least four people appeared to be involved, all of whom were standing outside the damaged vehicle and did not look seriously injured.
Law enforcement and Emergency Medical Services Authority responded to the scene and blocked two lanes to render aid to the involved occupants, and so crews could clean up debris from the crash.
Significant delays lingered on the southbound lanes as officials worked to clear the area.
An investigation is ongoing. As it stands, officials believe icy road conditions may have played a role in the crash.
