Florida man killed in 3-vehicle crash on I-40 near Sallisaw

SALLISAW, OK – One person died, and another person sustained injuries Sunday in a multi-vehicle collision along the highway in south-central Sequoyah County.
According to Fox 23 News, the crash occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. on I-40 near OK-64 on the southeast side of Sallisaw, which is about 95 miles southeast of Tulsa.
Police haven’t shared any details about the accident except to say that it involved three vehicles. It’s not yet clear what caused the collision.
A passenger in one of the three vehicles, identified as 69-year-old John W. Beahn of Florida, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Medics transported a driver to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.
