The Oklahoma personal injury lawyers of the Abel Law Firm have learned that former Los Angeles Lakers point guard, Derek Fisher, has signed on to play basketball for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The 37-year-old professional basketball player made a statement about the change, and said that he hopes to be able to positively contribute to the Thunder, and help them achieve an NBA title. Fisher has five NBA titles under his belt, and believes that his age was a large factor as to why the Lakers traded him, initially to the Rockets.
Fisher was bought out of his contract with the Rockets, and ultimately joined the Thunder. Oklahoma City’s record is currently ranked third in the NBA. The team has welcomed Fisher with open arms, and is continuing to put forth immense effort in every game played.
