COTTON COUNTY, OK –  A Grandfield man died following a single-vehicle accident that occurred early on Tuesday morning. According to reports, the crash occurred at 8:57 a.m. on U.S. 70,  about two miles east of Devol and eight miles west of 2480.

The victim, 64-year-old James Kinzer, was driving his 2006 Ford F-150 when he failed to make a curve and the vehicle left the roadway, rolling over once. First responders rushed him to United Regional Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition with injuries to the head, internal organs, and limbs. He was pronounced dead later on that day.

Investigators say the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, even though his vehicle was equipped with working restraints.
