TULSA, OK – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck in southeast Tulsa on Monday, reports KTUL News 8.
The accident happened in the morning on the southbound side of US-169, or the Mingo Valley Expressway, just before OK-51, or the Broken Arrow Expressway.
Police haven’t yet indicated what caused the dump truck to collide with a passenger vehicle along the highway.
The impact of the crash caused the truck to overturn, leak fuel, and spill sand onto the roadway.
Injuries were reported in connection to the accident, but it’s unclear if anyone required hospitalization.
Officials closed all but one southbound lane of US-169 while medics and Hazmat teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
