Head-on collision kills two in Hughes County

HUGHES COUNTY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported two fatalities resulting from a head-on crash on Highway 270 in Hughes County Saturday.
According to News on 6, Jayden Yarbrough, 21, was traveling in the westbound lanes of US 270 when he crossed the center line and collided with a pickup truck.
Both Yarbrough and his 22-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A 3-year-old child was also in the vehicle but did not sustain any serious injuries.
One occupant of the truck was air-lifted to a hospital with potentially serious injuries, while another was treated and released from a local hospital.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
