Head-on collision on TX-183 at E 1230 Rd in New Cordell kills 1

NEW CORDELL, OK – A 37-year-old man died last Friday night after a two-vehicle, head-on collision along the highway in central Washita County, reports OKC Fox 25. 

The incident happened around 7 p.m. on TX-183 at East 1230 Road, which is on the southern outskirts of New Cordell.

The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound Chevy Impala veered into the southbound lanes and collided with a southbound 2008 Chevy Silverado.

The driver of the Impala became pinned in this vehicle and required extrication. He died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the second driver, identified as 38-year-old Amy Lemons, along with two juveniles and another adult to the hospital with injuries to the arms, legs, and trunk.

A full investigation is underway.
