OKMULGEE COUNTY, OK – A 55-year-old woman from Henryetta died as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 75 near 321st Street on Friday.
The incident unfolded before 3:30 p.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol told Fox23 that the Henryetta woman, identified as Rebecca Fisher, was driving south on the highway when she struck another vehicle.
OHP said the vehicle Fisher struck had just pulled out of a private driveway and crossed over several eastbound lanes just seconds before the crash.
When the second vehicle and Fisher’s vehicle made contact, Fisher’s vehicle drifted off the road and came to rest in a grassy median.
Fisher succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the other driver was uninjured. Both were sole occupants of their vehicles, OHP confirmed.
