High School Freshman Dead After Rollover Crash

A Sulphur Springs High School freshman died after his ATV rolled over him, a March 11 article of Duncan Banner reported.

The incident happened on March 10, during his spring break. 15-year-old Sam Kopal was wearing a helmet during the time of the incident, but he was found unresponsive after. An adult attempted to resuscitate him using CPR until EMS could arrive at the scene. Sam was a member of the SSHS Wildcats Basketball and Baseball programs.
