Hit-and-run driver fatally strikes man in Southeast OKC

SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A hit-and-run driver was responsible for fatally striking a man in Southeast Oklahoma City on Sunday.

According to Newson6, the driver struck the man in the area of SE 44th Street and High Avenue. The man did not render aid and immediately fled the accident scene.

Police said the crash happened around 3 a.m. and pulled up to the scene after 3:00 a.m. EMS crews were also dispatched to the scene and transported the man to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is actively working to determine how the crash unfolded. Members of the public are encouraged to contact police immediately if they have any information on Sunday’s deadly crash or the suspect.
