Hit-and-run driver strikes tow truck operator on S Sunnylane Rd

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – According to News 9, the driver of a tow truck was injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday on S Sunnylane Rd near SE 59th St.

The victim had his emergency lights flashing as he was loading a vehicle to his wrecker when the suspect swerved around the bed of the truck and hit him. The suspect then fled the area while the victim lay in the roadway.

First responders took the victim to an area hospital. He spent the evening in intensive care and had surgery Thursday morning. Authorities expect the victim to be OK, though he is currently in a lot of pain.
